We made one of the world’s first T-shirts and have been perfecting it for over 100 years. Our Classic T-shirt is handmade in the Sunspel factory in Long Eaton, England, using the finest, extra-long staple Supima cotton that can be traced to its Californian farm of origin.
The fabric - a unique Sunspel development - is lightweight, durable and exceptionally smooth against the skin. With a slim fit, it is essential to every wardrobe. We believe it is the perfect T-shirt, now in an undyed pure cotton showing the ecru colour of the natural fibre.

A T-shirt like no other.
The Sunspel Classic T-shirt is a testament to more than a century of expertise. Combining timeless British elegance with exceptional comfort, it is the choice for leading global fashion stylists and celebrities. The extra-long staple Supima cotton is the finest in the world and each strand is selected from a single Californian farm. Our unique two-fold Q82 fabric, a hallmark Sunspel innovation, has been refined over generations to balance durability with lightness and a soft feel on the skin.
We handcraft the Sunspel Classic T-shirt in our own English factory, our home since 1937, and we are the only British luxury brand to do so. This involves 12 precise steps and 15 quality control checks, carried out by skilled craftspeople, many of whom have been with the brand for over 20 years. Each T-shirt is finished with a sticker bearing the name of the artisan who performs the final inspection, a final mark of quality.
