Loopback Sweatshirt
Select colour: Real Indigo

A modern take on the classic athletic sweatshirt now in a yarn dyed indigo fabric to give a washed down, natural look. Introduced by former Sunspel creative director Jonathan Anderson, it has a neat fit and refined sweatshirt detailing, with a V-stitch insert and rib cuffs. Made from an exceptionally soft cotton loopback fabric, its internal loop stitch is specially designed to be warm and insulating. The contemporary cut makes it a highly versatile piece that can be worn as easily with a jacket as it can with matching sweatpants.

Designed for Performance, Worn by Brad Pitt
The Loopback Sweatshirt is an icon of modern menswear innovation. Originally created as a practice jersey for American football in the 1920s, its loopback fabric featured tiny cotton loops on the reverse for lightweight insulation and ease of movement.
In 2009, former Sunspel creative director Jonathan Anderson reimagined this athletic classic in a softer, more luxurious cotton with a clean, contemporary fit – combining heritage functionality with understated modern style.
Years later, Brad Pitt wore the Loopback Sweatshirt in F1, cementing its status as a modern classic on and off screen. Costume designer Julian Day called it “a real obvious choice” for its stylish simplicity and versatility.
