Paul Weller returns to Sunspel with a new capsule collection that revisits some of his most recognisable wardrobe staples, reworked with a contemporary perspective.

A long-standing supporter of Sunspel, Weller has long appreciated the care that goes into each garment. Much of the collection draws on this heritage, combining Weller’s distinctive sense of style with the technical expertise of Sunspel’s Long Eaton factory and the brand’s signature fabrics.

At the centre of the capsule is the Sunspel Classic T-shirt. Made in Long Eaton, it has been reimagined with a contrast-bound neckline in Weller’s signature colour palette. The same tones carry through the collection, most notably in a lightweight cotton knitted block jumper designed for effortless layering across seasons.

Outerwear also plays an important role. The Monkey Jacket, a style closely associated with British youth culture of the 1970s, is reworked in an Italian technical cotton blend. Tonal striped rib detailing adds a contemporary finish while maintaining the clean lines of the original silhouette.

Throughout the collection, elements from the Sunspel archive provide subtle points of reference. An embroidered Sun and Clouds motif, drawn from the brand’s 1940s logo, appears on both the T-shirt and the jacket. The Henley, meanwhile, incorporates a wide placket and ribbed hem inspired by historic Sunspel designs, bringing together archival details with modern proportions.

The result is a collection that reflects the values shared by Weller and Sunspel: quality materials, careful construction and understated design intended to be worn for years.
